Improving the efficiency of service maintenance processes for STM-Service, which is part of the holding company Sinara-Transport Machines JSC and provides maintenance of locomotives of the "Russian Railways" fleet

Automation of the accounting process for the movement of reusable materials and inventory holdings in a single digital platform based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. In addition, a web application (self-service terminal) with a simplified interface for technical personnel was developed as part of the project.

The introduction of the new functionality was carried out for the service locomotive depot "Zauralye" (Kurgan city), which is part of the South Ural regional service department.

Results:

  • A unified working environment has been created for all participants in logistics and engineering support
  • The transparency of accounting processes has increased – accurate and timely information about the availability and location of reusable materials and inventory holdings in electronic form is "at hand", and not on paper
  • The probability of technical risks for the customer and contractors has decreased due to the timely receipt of information about the reusable materials and inventory holdings, including with the help of a self-service terminal
