Digitalization of HR processes for RUSAL, the leader of the global aluminum industry

A large-scale HR Tech project based on the WebSoft HCM platform (formerly WebTutor) was implemented in 7 months, and automated 10 main talent management processes, such as personnel training and development, competence assessment, talent pool management, adaptation, including remote employees.

The solution is integrated with RUSAL's unified personnel system, external evaluation centers, and an internal unified authorization system (a single-entry system). The use of a dual-circuit architecture allows staff members to safely work with the system, use a personal account, undergo training and perform other actions from both a computer and mobile devices.

Results of the HR-Tech project:

  • 50 thousand RUSAL employees work in the system, while about 30 thousand production employees are connected to the training classes
  • HR processes are unified and standardized within a single platform
  • An end-to-end and transparent process of personnel management and development is provided.Employees can maintain and master necessary skills and competencies based on the results of passed tests, assessments and formed individual development plans (IDP)

Cooperation continues within the system development and support.
