UiPath robot optimized the processing of incoming electronic documents at Askona

GMCS has developed a robot based on the UiPath platform for Askona, the largest bedding company in Eastern Europe. Automated processing of incoming electronic documents from Diadok EDM system to 1C freed specialists from performing repetitive tasks.

The processing of incoming documents is a routine operation with a well-known algorithm. The robotic process automation did not only free employees from repetitive actions but also helped to avoid mistakes due to the human factor.

GMCS has developed a robot for Askona based on UiPath solutions. The robot processes incoming electronic documents with services from contractors in the company's accounting system. Now only one employee is required to run the robot, while the rest can deal with more creative issues at this time.

According to the results of the first six months, Askona representatives note that they have managed to significantly reduce labor costs for document filing and the number of data entry errors.

“Previously, this process required 150 working hours of involved employees to enter documents, and in case of errors, also 50 hours to find and correct them,” explained Natalya Petrovna Chekmaeva, Chief Accountant of Askona. "Now the processing of documents by a robot takes just an hour, while manual errors are excluded."

The accountant has the opportunity to conduct additional training for the robot, independently configuring operation templates without involving external developers or internal IT specialists.

“Our goal is to give companies the tools that will allow them not to waste valuable human resources on performing the simplest tasks,” said Svetlana Anisimova, CEO of UiPath in Russia and the CIS. "Thanks to the robotization, qualified specialists will be able to devote more time to business development issues."

“The processing of incoming documents by a robot in the Askona’s volumes allows avoiding errors in areas that do not require human intervention,” said Dmitry Smykalov, Head of RPA Practice at GMCS. “When developing the robot, it was important to provide support for working with various applications that do not have built-in integration with each other. Thus, it was possible to completely exclude a person from the algorithm. "

Askona plans to continue digitizing its processes. New robots will be developed for accounting, financial services, and HR, which optimize the work in several information systems at the same time.
