TMK has automated online recruitment using the UiPath RPA platform

GMCS has developed and implemented a robotic recruiting system based on the UiPath RPA platform at ТМК, one of the world’s leading producers of tubular products for the oil and gas industry.

The intelligent system is designed to optimize the entire range of tasks for personnel selection. The Russian IT company GMCS was chosen to implement the project. The company has UiPath Gold Partner and Professional Services (PS) Partner statuses. The analysis of the processes, jointly carried out by GMCS and TMK specialists, made it possible to form a recruiting robotization map and formulate the basic requirements for the functionality of an intelligent resume selection system.

“TMK regards robotic process automation as an important and effective tool for increasing the efficiency of back-office functions. Together with our partners, we have developed and implemented a robot recruiter in a fairly short time, based on the best practices in the industry. TMK sees great potential in further robotization of its core business processes, which will allow the company to build up digital assets in a highly competitive market,” said Dmitry Yakob, CIO at TMK.

The robot automatically selects published resumes according to the specified criteria, offers them for approval to the responsible department. If interested, he asks the candidate for documents, sends him an invitation for an interview, testing. The robot invites successful candidates to come to work. At the same time, he regularly notifies the customer about all stages of the process.

The software solution also allows you to assess the effectiveness of the HR department and find bottlenecks in the search for candidates. To do this, the robot informs the management board about the time spent on the recruiting process, and records of the time intervals from the start of work with a resume to hiring or sending a refusal. The product's capabilities allow it to be deployed to any enterprise in less than one day.

“HR has gone beyond recruiting and document management. Today it is a complex system that includes motivation, professional development, personnel consulting, and other business services that require our employees to have serious knowledge and deep immersion in the process. Therefore, we try to free them as much as possible from performing simple routine tasks. Nowadays, most recruiting tasks are performed automatically using the robot, which saves up to 30% of the working time only on resume processing. Automation also eliminates the influence of the human factor, increases the efficiency of recruiting and the work of the HR department as a whole,” added Elena Pozolotina, Deputy General Director for Human Resources and Director of the TMK2U Corporate University.

At the Corporate University TMK2U, the Analytics and Research Service is engaged in HR automation and robotization. This service evaluates HR processes for the possibility of their optimization through the introduction of modern digital technologies, and also accompanies projects within the implementation.

“At the time of the project completion, a robotic recruiting system can process about 10 thousand resumes daily. If necessary, the throughput of the robot can be expanded and this operation will not require the solution to be completed by third-party companies,” noted Dmitry Smykalov, head of RPA practice at GMCS.

In addition, it is possible to expand the service by increasing the number of web resources that are searched for.

“The capabilities of the UiPath RPA platform make it possible to robotize processes that involve the execution of repetitive formalized procedures,” said Svetlana Anisimova, CEO of UiPath in Russia and the CIS. “From a practical point of view, this minimizes the number of human errors and allows staff to focus on solving tasks that the machine is not yet capable of. We were pleased to support TMK in a progressive endeavor and we are ready to continue our work aimed at robotizing modern enterprises."
