MECOMS celebrated the tenth anniversary of partnership with GMCS

MECOMS a Ferranti company, the developer and distributor of the application platform of the future for energy & utility companies, noted the achievements in 10 years of joint work with GMCS in Russia and abroad. The award ceremony took place at the international conference BOOST18, which was held on October 9-11 in Belgium.

This summer Ferranti announced a number of changes aimed at further strengthening the company's position in priority markets. As a result, MECOMS became a separate company, along with such companies as Silta, an ICT and infrastructure partner, and FrontForce, whose activities are related to mobile solutions, IoT, chatbots, and other innovations.

At the BOOST18 conference, the company presented the capabilities of the updated MECOMS platform and services available within it, as well outlined further plans for the development of the platform. MECOMS experts, partners, as well as customers from the world's leading energy and utility companies discussed the issues of technology impact on Energy & Utilities. In addition, a number of customers shared the success stories of using MECOMS solutions.

“Time for a celebration at #boost18! A 10-year anniversary of working together with joint successes inside and outside the Russian Federation! Thank you for your trust GMCS!” posted Michiel Gedopt, Business Unit Manager EMEA bij MECOMS.

The received award has a special title - the “Muur van Geraardsbergen”, referred to a steep, narrow road with cobblestones in Geraardsbergen, Belgium. This could be a reflection of the years-long cooperation between companies and the success achieved in the promotion of the MECOMS platform in Russia and in the global market.

GMCS is Ferranti's global partner, providing language and legislative localization of the MECOMS platform for the Russian market. GMCS solutions for Smart Utilities, based on MECOMS and its own developments, include Smart Metering, Smart Utilities, and Smart Grid (production management and grid control). GMCS also offers solutions for detecting and preventing frauds in electrical grids using machine learning algorithms, analytical applications, and optimization solutions.

“10 years of partnership with Ferranti passed by quickly and excitingly. Today, MECOMS offers a powerful technological platform, which has everything you need to digitize the energy and utility market, manage all types of services (gas, water, electricity, sanitation, alternative energy sources) and create a comfortable environment for consumers. We will continue to help customers develop digital energy, as well as Smart Cities by transforming business processes and creating intelligent control systems,” said Oleg Lysov, Vice President of GMCS.

MECOMS is certified for Microsoft Dynamics AX & 365, and it is in full compliance with Microsoft's Smart Energy Reference Architecture (SERA). Gartner and IDC recommend MECOMS as the primary solution for energy and utility companies.

Today, a number of Russian enterprises, within and beyond the energy industry, use MECOMS for billing and customer service.
