GMCS is in the top 15 largest IT suppliers for retail
According to the review "Digitalization of retail" prepared by TAdviser, GMCS (a member of the Maxima Group) took 15th place among the largest suppliers of information technology for retail. The company's revenue for 2023 in this area amounted to 860 million rubles.
As noted, in 2023, the retail faced the need to revise long-term IT development strategies, actively substituting import software and searching for new opportunities. The focus of retail companies in 2022 was on replacing ERP accounting systems, then in 2023, retailers focused on implementing process-oriented BPM, CRM and SRM systems. And more than half of retailers increased their budgets for the development of IT infrastructure.
Experts highlight several key technological trends in retail: the introduction of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, the development of the Internet of Things, computer vision, solutions to counter cyber threats, as well as the improvement of retailers' own IT competencies.
"Retail is one of the largest and most technologically advanced sectors of the economy, demonstrating steady growth, as our revenue in this segment does. In 2023, ERP projects to develop existing solutions, including those based on 1C, as well as projects in HR, RPA and other areas, prevailed among retail projects. Our largest customers include companies such as Lemana PRO (Leroy Merlin), 585*Gold, Lamoda, Unirest, Hoff and others," commented Dmitry Ruchkin, Head of Integrated Solutions Directorate at GMCS.
