GMCS has developed an analytical solution for the Russian Football Union

GMCS (a member of the Maxima Group of Companies), has developed a pilot version of the analytical interface for the Russian Football Union (RFU) as part of the Digital Sandbox project. The solution allows The RFU to optimize the workload of football team players during training camps.

This analytical tool ensures the exchange of data on training and game loads between the coaches of the Russian national football teams and the clubs whose players participate in training camps and games. This allows them to better plan loads and more accurately predict the level of readiness of football players when planning training and games.

The analytical interface is designed considering the needs of the coaching staff: graphs and other simple ways of visualizing information are used for intuitive perception.

The solution is designed based on Python, and PostgreSQL is used as the database. The main source of data about football players is the RFU. Digital platform with which integration is carried out.

“The Digital Sandbox is one of our projects for testing and piloting hypotheses about the demand for digital services. Reducing the requirements for infrastructure and processes allows us to quickly create and test new ideas in order to subsequently decide on their suitability for creating full-fledged services,” said Dmitry Fedorov, Head of the Digital Technologies Department of the RFU.

“The project was implemented in accordance with “the digital partner” service, which we provide to customers to speed up the development and launch of internal projects and products. With this approach, the degree of immersion in the customer’s business processes is maximum, and thanks to the accumulated industry expertise, we can quickly respond to any changes. Over the past year, we have constantly analyzed feedback from clubs and coaches, based on which we have refined the analytical interface. As a result, the service has become not only more convenient, but also more flexible due to the fact that club representatives can independently correct the data,” added Maria Venediktova, Vice president of GMCS.
