GMCS built a BI platform for Skolkovo Foundation

Skolkovo Foundation has been using a digital service based on the Qlik Sense BI platform to effectively manage an ecosystem, which supports domestic innovation projects implemented both in Russia and abroad. The analytical solution developed by GMCS consists of twelve interactive dashboards that allow users to work independently with the data they need.

The Skolkovo Foundation identified four key areas of potential growth: energy efficiency, strategic computer technologies, biomedicine and advanced manufacturing technology. Today, Skolkovo is a full-fledged city, offering excellent conditions for research, business and comfortable lifestyle.

The BI service provides analytical support for the main areas of work of Skolkovo. With the help of dashboards, the Foundation's specialists monitor the activities, analyze risks when selecting participants for grant programs and the workload of clusters.

Qlik Sense is also used to monitor the key performance indicators of the Foundation in terms of clusters, income and expenses, services provided and other. This information is used to make decisions on the optimization and development of the Innovation Center in order to make it even more attractive to residents.

“In order to maintain a high level of achievements and engage in innovations that will be in demand not only here and now, but also in the future, we need transparent real-time. This approach is the basis for digitalization and maintaining a high rate of change. Our plans include the development of business intelligence for the city manager, billing system and other areas where decisions need to be made based on reliable data within 5-10 minutes,” said Alexey Yermoshin, Deputy Head of the Information Systems and Services Department of the Skolkovo Foundation.

GMCS continues to develop an analytical solution in accordance with the goals of the Skolkovo Foundation.

“We have been working with Skolkovo for more than 2 years. We help the Fund to improve management efficiency with not only BI software but also other solutions and technologies. The first phase of the project was implemented in less than 3 months. Then we gradually increased the capabilities of the system, adding new visual analytics,” added Irina Volodkina, Head of BI Department, Vertical Solutions Division, GMCS.
