EFKO handed over routine processes to UiPath robots

EFKO Group, one of the leaders of the Russian food market, has begun large-scale robotic process automation based on UiPath solutions. Together with GMCS, three RPA projects have already been implemented, which made it possible to significantly reduce the time that specialists have to spend on repetitive work.

The pilot project was the robotization of the approval process for payment applications. Previously, two specialists spent at least eight minutes on processing each application, the number of which exceeded 100 during peak periods. Now the robot checks its compliance with the established criteria, and the specialist only controls its actions. As a result, each payment application takes less than three minutes, and only one specialist is engaged in this process.

The robot created by GMCS based on the UiPath platform, also allowed EFKO to take control of the flow of incoming orders. It checks the success of the import of each application into the 1C system and automatically sends a notification if the order is lost. Previously, this check had to be

Finally, the RPA solution implemented by GMCS, UiPath Gold Partner in Russia, automated the process of checking new counterparties. Now the employee only needs to indicate the company's TIN, and the robot itself checks it against all the necessary databases. The time spent on this work was reduced by five times.

“Our solutions help companies free their employees from routine tasks and enable them to deal with business development issues,” said Svetlana Anisimova, CEO of UiPath in Russia and the CIS. “After their implementation, specialists only control the robots, still being responsible for making decisions.”

On average, the robotization of each process took 1.5-2 months. This term includes the whole range of work: from the first discussion of the project with the customer to its full launch after thorough testing.

“EFKO approached robotization step by step, from process to process, without curtailing its plans even under conditions of quarantine restrictions. The efficiency from robotization was measured after each project, which inspired the joint project team and gave new ideas where robots could still be used,” noted Dmitry Smykalov, Head of RPA practice at GMCS.

EFKO will continue to digitize business processes. After the successful implementation of robots based on the UiPath platform in the finance department, it is planned to robotize logistics and brand business.

“It is important for us to carry out a global digitalization of the company's work and free employees from routine, directing their potential to solve creative and innovative tasks,” says Stanislav Loginov, Deputy General Director of EFKO Group for Information Strategy. “The introduction of robots made it possible not only to reorient employees to more interesting tasks, but also to avoid reputational risks that are possible in the event of errors caused by the human factor”.
