Robots for humans: GMCS told about RPA at the APKIT meeting

On March 15, GMCS shared its expertise in the field of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) at the meeting of the IT-market Development Analyses Committee of the Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (APKIT).

Sergey Osipov, Vice President of GMCS, told about what the abbreviation RPA hides and why this technology will change the business processes for the better. Using the examples of popular RPA scenarios, Sergey showed how the robots could prove useful in business. In addition, Sergey answered the questions of the participants: where to start implementing robots, why it is important to make pilots and when robots are not needed.

The event was held at the IBM Client Center in Moscow. It was devoted to discussing business efficiency tools.

“It is not the first time GMCS experts have spoken at APKIT meetings. We are always glad to have the opportunity to share our experience. Our RPA practice has appeared quite recently and is developing rapidly. Currently, we are one of the leading partners of UiPath, the world leader in RPA in the Russian market. The keen interest of the participants to RPA indicates its high potential. Robotic automation is designed to simplify work, and not to deprive employees of their jobs. Correctly conveying the values of robotization, while overcoming the associated fears, is the task that customers, vendors and IT companies have to solve together,“ said Anna Okunkova, Marketing Director of GMCS

APKIT is the most representative noncommercial association in the Russian IT Industry. Members of APKIT are the largest domestic and transnational companies in the field of software development, distribution, system integration, services, computers and equipment production; and also niche associations (Association of information security of AZI, Association of producers of light-emitting diodes and systems on their basis APSS, Non-profit partnership of suppliers of software products of NP PPP, ARPP "Domestic Software", RUSSOFT Association, Confidential Platform Association, an IT cluster of Siberia).
