GMCS experts spoke at an international conference at Penza State University

Representatives of the GMCS Penza branch took part in the XXV International Scientific and Technical Conference "Problems of Informatics in Education, Management, Economics and Technology". The event was held from October 31 to November 1 at Penza State University (PSU).

The conference brought together scientists and practitioners from Russia, Belarus, India and other countries, who presented about 50 reports on topics ranging from machine learning to IT in education and medicine.

Andrey Kuzmin, Head of the Department of Information and Computing Systems, who moderated the plenary session, highlighted the relevance of computer science applications across various areas.

"This year, the largest number of presentations were in the section of applied aspects of computer science, which shows the growing interest of participants in solving practical problems," he said.

Denis Zlobin, Head of the GMCS Management Solutions Department, delivered an open lecture on "Import substitution in the IT sector" to undergraduates. He presented the system integrator's view on current trends and prospects for the development of the country's technological sovereignty detailed the company's expertise in working with Russian software, and shared practical cases.

Other GMCS specialists participated as experts of the panel discussion "Project and innovation activities in the field of IT". During the discussion with representatives of the university and the IT community, current challenges and prospects for the development of the industry were brought up.

“Participation in the conference is a logical continuation of our long-term cooperation with PSU in the field of IT education,” commented Denis Zlobin. “As practitioners, we contribute to this process by sharing our experience, opening the doors of our company to young professionals, and taking a practical part in the university's activities. I believe that fundamental education combined with applied knowledge is the basis for developing the world's best Russian IT specialists."
