GMCS combined Fun and Business on TulaHack-2019 hackathon
The Tula branch of GMCS took part in the inter-regional hackathon TulaHack-2019: Fun vs Business, which took place on April 5-7. GMCS specialists joined the expert group and the jury members.
The 25 teams spent over 40 hours of work to create and present their projects in the following areas: Machine Learning, augmented reality (AR), mobile and web applications, blockchain, games, social services, utilities, microcontroller programming, robotics.
GMCS offered several problems to solve in the Business category:
- “Talent Search”: it was required to develop an application or service to search for employees with the necessary set of hard and soft skills inside and outside the company;
- “The Best Offer”: it was necessary to develop an application or service to easily search for goods or services at the best price using computer vision and text recognition;
- “Shaken, not stirred”: it was required to develop the concept of personalized customer service using face recognition technology.
The “Rubilnik” and “Nepriyantnye” teams have chosen the tasks from GMCS. They have demonstrated a fresh look at problem-solving. Therefore, they were awarded by GMCS experts and received memorable gifts.
Its own GMCS team – “Pervichnyy klyuchik” attended the hackathon. It consisted of students who work in the Tula branch. The team took second place in the category “Business”.
TulaHack2019 is an open inter-regional hackathon for students and school students. The organizer was the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of Tula State University and the leading regional IT companies.
