TAdviser listed GMCS as the largest suppliers of BI solutions in Russia

TAdviser analytical agency has published the "BI and Big Data Systems in Russia" report. GMCS became one of the largest providers of BI solutions in the Russian IT market, taking the 12th line in the rating.

GMCS revenue from BI projects in 2019 amounted to 348 million rubles. The core of the company's BI practice is made up of Qlik solutions. Qlik is the leader among the suppliers of BI systems in the Russian market by the number of implemented projects according to the TAdviser database. GMCS also implements projects using analytical applications IBM Cognos Analytics (Cognos BI), SAP BW / 4HANA, Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.

“From year to year, the requirements for analytical solutions become more complicated. In 2019, we mainly implemented classic BI projects related to setting up the dashboards and corporate analytical portals. The pandemic further highlighted the need to acquire transparent analytics, if the company did not have one. Taking into account market trends and growing customer demand, we plan to expand the range of BI systems, including solutions from Russian suppliers,” said Alexey Suchkov, Head of BI Practice at GMCS.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Russian BI market continues to grow. The total revenue of the companies in the ranking at the end of 2019 reached 12.9 billion rubles. It is almost 30% more than in 2018.

Among the trends, experts point out the growing demand for domestic BI solutions due to the import substitution policy, an increase in the number of cloud solutions, the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
