MAYKOR-GMCS has built a business intelligence system for TRASKO

MAYKOR-GMCS has developed a business intelligence system based on the QlikView platform for freight forwarding company TRASKO. With the help of BI-solutions, TRASKO receives financial analyst and efficiently manages operational activities.

The project results are a data window for top management of forwarding companies, an organized regular upload of the information from operational systems. The management of TRASKO has got an opportunity to analyze the company results online, including tracking of successful areas of transportation, types of goods, types of transportation (consolidated, complete, multi-modal, etc.), etc. The project has been implemented in five months.

"It was one of the most important IT projects for us in 2015. We’ve got a powerful analytical tool for development. The Russian logistics market is changing, the average cost of transport falls while their volume increases. To develop a positive trend, it is necessary to constantly monitor the slightest changes in our work. We are planning to develop the system in two main areas: an analysis of the effectiveness of our own transport and financial analysis," says Olga Shchepunova, director of business automation unit, TRASKO.

"Every logistics operator is unique, so the BI-solution must be individualized. Together with the heads of departments of TRASKO we have worked carefully the direction of business analysis and a set of indicators. Designed BI-solution is an effective assistant in coordinating operational logistics, as well as a source of relevant information for strategic planning and development of new areas and types of transport," adds Anton Seleznev, business director, MAYKOR-GMCS.

"Using QlikView allows you to go down from the high-level analytics to the lower level data within a single system interface. As a result, the managers has an opportunity to see the current business situation with the desired level of details in a variety of analytical sections using the most visual form – a "single window" mode.
