CNews included GMCS in the list of largest IT suppliers for Retail

The CNews Analytics research team has published an annual review of IT in Retail. At the end of 2019, GMCS confirmed the position of a large IT supplier in Retail. 

GMCS revenue from IT projects in retail amounted to 747.7 million rubles. The key customers in 2019 were Leroy Merlin Vostok, X5 Retail Group, Volkonsky, Hoff, Ascona, Lamoda, L’Etoile and LensMaster. 

Last year, GMCS helped retailers generate and manage business plans, capitalize on data, optimize supply and assortment, forecast demand, improve customer experience, automate routine processes, and maintain application infrastructure.

“The past year has been eventful in terms of retail automation. Integrated business automation on a single platform is still in demand. Projects with an intellectual component and an emphasis on working with data have significantly increased. And, RPA has been growing rapidly. It is impossible to cope with new economic challenges in the digital world without automation. In this difficult time, we are ready to help retailers solve problems and move forward,” said Sergey Osipov, Vice President of GMCS. 

The retail turnover in Russia in 2019 compared with 2018 increased by 1.6%. The total revenue of the top 20 IT suppliers increased by 27.3% and reached 68 billion rubles. The main events of the market were the cash reform, the introduction of labeling, the growth of e-commerce and integration with marketplaces.
