GMCS talked about Smart Agro technologies at the AgriForum Southern Russia 2018

GMCS participated in the 4-th international investment forum "AgriForum Southern Russia 2018", which was held on September 21 in Stavropol with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

Representatives of the State Duma, the Government of the Stavropol Territory, as well as the Government of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District, and more than 20 leading agricultural enterprises of the region took part in the work of the Forum. The participants discussed prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex, introduction of innovative technologies and new methods of work in the industry, and food security.

Ilya Kornilov, Head of Optimization Planning Department, GMCS, spoke about the opportunities of optimization solutions for the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex. In particular, he demonstrated a solution for harvesting planning of agricultural land. This solution allows planning the harvesting campaign with minimal losses, taking into account the risks and constraints (personnel, equipment, weather conditions).

Until the end of 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation intends to approve the Digital Agriculture program within the implementation of the Digital Economy program. This program is designed for 6 years and involves the gradual transformation of the agro-industrial complex into Smart Agro.
