Client description: "X5 Retail Group N.V." (LSE: FIVE, Moody's - "B1", S&P - "BB-") - is the largest retail grocery company in Russia in terms of sales volumes. It operates under the brands "Pyaterochka" and "Perekryostok". As of December 31, 2007 the company included 674 own "mild discounter" type "Pyaterochka" outlets located in Moscow (309), St Petersburg(244) and other RF regions (121) , as well as 179 own "Perekryostok" supermarkets in the Central region of Russia and in Ukraine, including 105 outlets in Moscow, as well as 15 own hypermarkets. The number of franchises in Russia and Kazakhstan amounts to 688.

Project Description
GMCS is carrying out a project for the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Management system (ERP) in X5 Retail Group. The new system of managing sales activities of the retail grocery company shall be unwrapped on the basis of the SAP for Retail solution. During the first stage, a joint team of GMCS and the client's specialists shall automate flow of goods management. During the following stages it is planned to introduce finance and planning modules.
