Client description: Uralkhimplast Holding Company is a large Russian producer of synthetic resins and plastics. The holding specializes in manufacturing synthetic resins, constructional and special plastics, PVC-based plasticates and compounds, polyethylene polyamines, formalin, and occupies a key position on many commodity markets. It is the only producer of paraform in Russia. Uralkhimplast is a supplier of chemical materials to many industry sectors.

Project Description
The goal of the project is to create an automated system of annual and monthly planning of activities at Uralkhimplast. The new system of mid-term and strategic management of the chemical company shall be based on IBM Cognos Planning. As part of the project a team of GMCS specialists shall conduct the examination and reengineering of existing planning processes, development and implementation of a new model of planning the enterprise’s activities within the Cognos Planning system. An important particularity of the project shall be the import of data from several information systems currently being used by Uralkhimplast. According to company plans the system of annual planning shall be launched into operation in the second quarter of 2008, monthly planning – before the end of 2008.
