Tehnosila– is one of Russia’s largest retail networks of household appliances and electronic equipment shops. At the moment the network includes 176 outlets in 129 cities of Russia, 77 of them opened through the franchising system. 27 outlets are located in Moscow and the Moscow Region, 149 - in other regions of Russia.
Project Description
At Tehnosila GMCS implemented a specialized solution for retail sales - SAP for Retail (based on SAP ERP 6.0). The goals of this project included, mainly, the following business tasks: increasing transparency and efficiency of management of flows of goods, procurement, sales and expenses; optimization of financial reporting and cash flow management; transition from operational to strategic control; increasing the company’s value.
As part of the project two systems were unfolded: sales data management based on the SAP POS Data Management solution and finance and logistics management based on SAP ERP. The key results of the implementation of the first system are the increased efficiency of preparation and quality of sales reporting by outlets, and consequently - a higher quality of management decisions made on its basis. The main result of the second project - SAP ERP implementation – was a unified system of managing key business processes of a retail network. During the implementation, the joint project team of Tehnosila and GMCS automated the processes of sales, procurement and logistics. Key business functions of the company are being carried out within a single system, thus allowing Tehnosila to effectively control the movement of goods and transportation costs, efficiently manage transport and logistics expenses by rejecting unprofitable shipping operations. The system was commissioned in June of 2007.
