Implementation of an automated enterprise management system

Client: Syktyvkar Liquor and Spirit Plant

Client description: The state unitary enterprise of the Komi Republic - Syktyvkar Liquor and Spirit Plant— was established in 1970. The plant’s capacity of manufacture provides for the production of 1.4 mln deciliters of vodka, 200 thousand deciliters of products from the liquor and spirits range, as well as 800 tons of confectionary produce per year.

Project Description
The main goal of the implementation of an information system at the plant was to routinely receive reliable and systematized reports on the enterprises activities. The company’s management selected the Parus management system after having analyzed its implementation, for instance at the Voronezh LSP. GMCS was faced with complex tasks such as liquidating growth of outstanding debts, optimization of warehouse surplus, automation of accounting for excise tax, excise labels and returnable packaging. As part of the project for the Syktyvkat LSP the Finance; Procurement, Warehouse and Sales Management; Actual Costs Accounting and Calculation modules were installed. The created system includes automation of bookkeeping and financial accounting, the processes of management of production, finances, sales, procurement; the necessary level of detail and depth of reporting was provided for; control over financial and economic information tightened. During the project the specifics of the industry’s operations was fully accounted for. During pilot operation of the system in January 2003 the advantages of Parus were already evident. “We have confirmed that using modern information technology tasks can now be handled, that used to be considered close to unsolvable just a short while ago”, - said Mikhail Kucher - Director General of the Syktyvkar Liquor and Spirit Plant.
