Simbiotel is a provider of a next generation service called EZtalk. The company was established in 2007 and provides voice services over the data communication network, using cutting edge technologies and ensuring an optimum price-quality ratio for long-distance communication services in Russia.
Project Description
In order to evaluate the profitability of provided services and line load, as well as selecting priority directions of business development, the operator required a large set of analytical tools. A BPM-class software product - IBM Cognos 8 BI was selected as the analytical tool to be implemented by GMCS. The implementation stage was preceded by the development of an analytical model and of the data warehouse structure, allowing to conduct all-round analysis of information on telephone connections of the operator’s subscribers. Preparation of the existing IT-infrastructure for the implementation of the new application allowed to minimize the operator’s project expenses and avoid transition to a different operating system.
