Project Description
GMCS started works on the full-featured implementation of the SSA ERP (Baan) systems for Polisan in September 2004. The unique nature of this project was based on the particularities of the pharmaceutical industry, which were accounted for by GMCS consultants during the work. First of all, these are the specifics of pharmaceutical manufacturing, which implies strict quality control of produce in compliance to GMP standards. During the project’s implementation GMCS employees developed a package of original documents on quality control according to GMP standards especially for Polisan. The innovation of this full-featured implementation of the SSA ERP (Baan) system, covering the automation of all business processes (including production, procurement, sales, logistics, bookkeeping etc), as well as the improvement of the company’s management as a whole – all this created an information platform for establishing a quality control system at a pharmaceutical enterprise. In January 2006 the system was transferred to industrial operation mode.
