Client description: KPD group of companies renders services of warehouse storage in one of Russia’s largest storage freezers of class A, as well as offering container shipping and forwarding services.

Project Description
The key tasks of the project carried out by GMCS were – first of all, creating an efficient system of warehouse management, which would include the full list of existing logistics procedures, and secondly, developing a GMCS industry solution for warehouse complexes based on Mic-rosoft Axapta. Both tasks were successfully accomplished. Implementation of the solution for warehouse complexes allowed to optimize slotting, increase accuracy of order assembly, cut time needed for assembly and shipping of produce, cut operation costs of delivery of goods and of their movement within the warehouse; track equipment operation and warehouse personnel work hours, receive up to date reports on the availability and movement of stock. The solution supports billing and is fully prepared for work with identification systems. The next step in project expansion is the integration of the industry solution with identification systems (bar-coding): KPD-Cargo warehouse complex shall switch to working online with data terminals. KPD plans also involve comprehensive automation of the group on the basis of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Project completed in January2005.
